BLACK WILLOWS - In this Lausanne-based band, Ben Ohayon on drums and Maxime Sacchetto on bass are the emblematic branches of the “Black Willow” tree. But Aleister Crowley (Hervé Palese), vocalist, guitarist, and the group’s artistic director, is its root system, channeling and filtering the elements that nourish each member’s inspiration. Together, they reach towardthe same sun. After three critically acclaimed albums in Europe and across the Atlantic, Black Willows is now working on a fourth release, continuing their journey into a dense, organic sound that grows ever more untethered from convention.

Black Willows are a sonic remedy for existential unrest. If one sees only the glorification of some occult or malevolent force, they miss the point entirely. If darkness is present, it is because this music confronts it. For years now, Black Willows have traveled through shadowy, esoteric terrain, not to lose us in the night, but to lead us back toward the light.

OTTONE PESANTE are an instrumental, experimental trio with the following line-up: Trombone, trumpet, drums.

From their early works, they produced an inimitable and highly original sound characterized by the extensive and increasing use of electronics on the brass instruments and equally recognizable drumming with strong roots in both GRINDCORE and rhythmic/timbral exploration. The result is a varied, rich and unique sound aimed at breaking many genre boundaries, allowing them to be appreciated by fans of brass bands and JAZZ, as well as in the experimental/avant-garde scene and even among METAL and EXPERIMENTAL ROCK enthusiasts.

This has led them to an intense live activity throughout Europe, including participation in festivals such as Fekete Zaj (HU-2021), Brutal Assault (CZ-2022) and Inferno (NO-2023). Ottone Pesante have released three studio albums, two EPs and a split an have collaborated with notable artists such as Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Sara Bianchin (Messa), Lili Refrain and Calibro 35.
