Grandmas House are a Bristol-based punk trio made up of Yasmin Berndt (vocals, guitar), Poppy Dodgson (vocals, drums) and Zoë Zinsmeister (bass). Formed in late 2018, they swept through Bristol’s renowned music scene, playing alongside the likes of Frankie Cosmos, Rita Lynch and Stef Chura. Fast forward to 2021 and Radio 1’s Jack Saunders named them “one of the most exciting bands coming out of Bristol at the moment,” while they were also championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music, DIY, Dork, Upset and more.

Combining their love of post-punk with surf-tinged melodies, Grandmas House craft a sound that grabs you right by the throat. Known for their raucous guitar riffs, thumping basslines, aggressive drums and deadpan lyricism, while the band have drawn comparisons to artists ranging from Courtney Barnett to The Slits to Motörhead, theirs is a sound completely undeniable and entirely their own.
